Imagination. Take 5 – The Mountain

Dedicated to all who have mountains they must climb in their life:

The goal?
To stand at the apex,
And marvel the sky,
Realize the view.

Starting off
Breathes easy
At the broad base of the rocky mountain
You are just learning to climb.

But as you ascend further,
The climb becomes weary,
Treacherous,
Each step an incline
The air gets thinner,
The mountain narrows,
And the terrain barely holds your footing.

Will you give up?
Will you keep forward?
Will you reach the top?
Are you willing to push?
Are you ready to face your goal?

You seek the goal,
You yearn for what few can accomplish:
To see your destiny come to life.
So you climb,
You sweat,
You bleed,
But you don’t turn back.

And then you see,
Not the top,
You are already there,
What you see are mountains,
So many in a vast sea of mountains,
The sky stretching beyond and above.

And here you stand
Admiring a jewel,
Even you were not aware of,
Preparing you
Readying you
To face the next mountain.

“Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So… get on your way.” ~Dr. Seuss~

  1. This is wonderful. Loved the ending, and it’s so true. Just what I needed to read today. I’m going to go retweet you right now (in case you’re just what everyone needs to read)!
